My New Favorite Vegan Shampoo

Back when I was making YouTube videos, I actually said (I am so embarrassed by this) that it doesn't matter what shampoo you use. I was using £1 shampoo and conditioner from the pharmacy, and while it was okay it wasn't really helping my hair.

Over the past couple of years, I've found that my hair is now combined oily, flat, and dry...all at the same time. It's like I mentioned in my previous post about having wrinkles and acne at the same time. Pretty much just everything awful mixed altogether. Oh, and my hair still doesn't hold a curl without making it Duggar-style crunchy, so, that's also fun.

After I made the switch to consciously buying cruelty free and mostly vegan products (I'm typically okay with beeswax), I've been having trouble finding anything that I both like and can afford. I, of course, love Lush, but it's out of my price range.

While randomly trawling on the Internet for vegan haircare, I came across Daniel Galvin, jr. I decided I would give him a little look-see and ordered one of his conditioners. Now, to be frank, it wasn't cheap like £1 from the pharmacy cheap. But it also wasn't £12 for a tiny pot Lush expensive.

I pretty much fell in love with it right away. It has not only made my blonde hair look better (they also have a line for brunettes, so don't fret!), but my hair finally feels nourished. After using an entire bottle and repurchasing, I'm pretty confident about that and feel like I love it enough to recommend it to my readers.

I also purchased the hair mask, mainly because if I spent £6 more I would get free shipping, and the shipping was around £4. I haven't tried it yet, mostly because I have been using the Lush H'Suan Wen Hua hair mask I got for my birthday to try and get some semblance of life back in my hair. I will be using it soon, though, and I do expect amazing results, just like his other products.

Here are the products I'm using:

Unfortunately here, the text is all screwed up, but the conditioner is the first one I tried. Grab it here

The shampoo was purchased after the conditioner, when I realized how much I actually liked the stuff. Grab it here.

And here we are with the "bonus" hair mask that I'm really excited to try!

What's your favorite shampoo and conditioner? Do you consciously use cruelty free brands?
