How To: Homemade Face Pore Strip

If you're like me, you were introduced to Biore strips as a teen. It is pretty damn fun (although a little disgusting) to put them on your face and pull them off, inspecting the gunk that festers in your pores. Although I love Biore strips (and the knockoffs you can get at the grocery store), they're still really expensive....so here's a quick (and easy) natural solution.

What you'll need

 Unflavored gelatin(e)
Milk (any kind)
Tablespoon
Plastic spoon (or any other disposable applicator/mixer)
Plastic cup

Instructions

1. Measure out two tablespoons of milk and place in the plastic cup
2. Measure out one tablespoon of gelatin(e) and place in the plastic cup
3. Mix
4. Put in microwave for 10-15 seconds
5. Apply to your face immediately with your fingers or the spoon.
You can put it all over your face or just part of it but if you wait
too long, the mixture will harden.
AVOID YOUR EYEBROWS
This mixture will pull them out.
If you get any in them, wipe away with your finger.
If you notice it there after they've dried, use warm water.
6. Wait 15-30 minutes (or more) for the mask to harden
7. Peel off the mask
8. Inspect all the gunk under your pores

If you want to get deep cleansing, try putting a salicylic acid peel on your problem areas before doing this. Let sit for the time prescribed on the bottle, then wipe away with warm water before doing the peel. It's a bit harsh, but it really gets the blackheads out as it clears away the top layer of skin to expose your blackheads.

You can also see me doing the mask here on my YouTube:
